Girls Sexual Health: In two weeks the girls will start a unit on Sexual Health (yes, I just cringed too girls). To put your mind at ease I have taught this unit to girls for many years and have two teen-age daughters of my own. I teach to the classes knowledge and maturity levels. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at any time.
Science Fair: Science Fair is due on Monday (but I won’t be back at school until Wednesday…so you have a couple days to get those little extras finished).

Hot Lunch this week:
FFHS will be offering hot lunch this week. If enough students order, this may continue..so please order.
Thursday- Ham and Cheese sandwich with chicken noodle soup
Friday- Grilled Cheese and tomato soup.
$5 per meal
Orders have to be made through School Cash only, no exceptions, and they must be in by Tuesday at midnight.
Science Fair:
Students have been working VERY HARD on Science Fair over the last few weeks. We are on the home stretch now, with students finishing the last few steps and putting their boards together. Please talk to your child about how things are going. Science Fair will take place hear at FFHS on March 9th.
Track and Field:
Track and Field for Grades 7-12 starts on Tuesday, February 21st
-Practices are Monday/Tuesday/Thursday (Saturdays in May)
-Athletes must wear appropriate workout attire and running shoes for practice.
-Bring a water bottle to practice
-Team fee is $175 for High School Students/$75 for Grade 7-8 athletes (these fees pay for busing costs)

FFHS Basketball and Volleyball Season is now over…..Track starts now!!

February 13th – Weekly Update for Parents and Students
Valentine’s Day Carnival will start during fourth period on February 14th (will last from 2:00-6:00). Students can leave the carnival to catch buses at 3:05 or they can stay and play until 6:00. If students want to attend it is $5 (pizza will also be on sale for $2 per slice). This carnival will feature the “Adrenaline Rush” bouncy castle!!! Students who choose not to attend will stay in the classroom until the end of the school day.

Science Fair Projects: Students should be finished performing their SCIENCE EXPERIMENT by Tuesday, February 14th. They were to bring their procedures home, perform the experiment and fill out their DATA COLLECTION SHEET. Some students performed their experiments here at school. This week at school, students will be completing a graph, making a conclusion, developing a future direction for this experiment and an explanation of how this experiment applies to the real world. Students will also be starting their presentation boards at school. Please discuss your child’s project with them to make sure they are doing what they should. Thanks.
Track and Field: There’s an information meeting for Track and field on Wednesday in room 158. Grade 7 & 8’s are welcome to attend.
Monday, February 13th: Instrumental Music. Mrs. Petsnick will be away coaching MUSKIE basketball in Kenora. Mrs. Antonick will be the supply teacher.
Tuesday, February 14th: Health/Physical Education OUTSIDE TODAY!! WEAR WARM CLOTHING PLEASE. Valentine’s Day Carnival.
