October 31st – Weekly Update for Parents and Students

Happy Halloween Everyone!!
Pumpkins still needed. We have decided to carve our pumpkins Monday morning, so you still have time to bring one in. Bring in any carving tools as well. We will have a carving contest in our classroom and the winning pumpkin will be sent downstairs to compete in the school wide contest.

Check out our Halloween Art – Spooky Spell Books

Smoothies and Smoothie Bowls (Girls Healthy Eating Class): Each student will be required to bring in one item to add to smoothies. We need fruit (frozen or fresh), veggies (spinach/carrot/cucumber/zucchini/kale), milk, or yogurt. Please talk to your daughter about what they would like to bring….they only need about a cup of whatever they are going to bring (in a baggie or container). On Monday, we will make a list together to see what else we need to bring.

Peace Poster Contest: Congratulations to Terra Carlson, who came in first place for FFHS/J.W. Walker School. Her poster will be sent to compete in the Rainy River District Wide contest and she will be receiving an award at a special supper with the Lion’s Club. I will be posting a picture of this poster soon!! Congratulations are also going out to Paige McFayden, who came in fourth.
