Today we will be getting to know each other!! You will receive a schedule of your classes next week (music/phys-ed/science/history/geography), but today we will do some fun activities. I have not assigned times to these activities because today we will be “the wind” and see where these bring us!! Looking forward to an awesome day with you!

2. Everyone has to have the same amount of turns.

5. No interfering with another team.

Mrs. Petsnick teaches Grade 8 health: Students are to work on Nutrition Slide Show. Each partner group received a macro or micro nutrient. They are to explain what the nutrient is, what it does and which foods to eat to get it. They have this period an a few more, so they don’t have to stress about getting it finished.

What your “Character Sees” CD description. This week students drew an EYE and a reflection in that eye of something a character would see in the book “A Long Walk to Water”. Today, they are to write a description of this picture in only two sentences. Rough draft on yellow sticky notes with lines.
Example:
I drew a picture of Nya’s eye, from page 8. Nya is looking at the bottom of her foot, where a big thorn had broken off in her heel.
Once you check them, students are to write their good copy on a CD (see my example on the desk). They only get ONE CD to write on, so they must be very careful (I have extras if someone is really upset).
Next:
Finish Typing “Songs” for A Long Walk To Water. I have assigned this in Google Classroom. I will print out on Tuesday.
Please have them leave their CD lined up on the ledge.
